Thirty feet above the forest floor, the trees don't just surround the house. They grow through it. It's actually built around the trees, and into the hillside. Most cabins sit next to the woods. This one lives inside them, with wraparound decks, a private hot tub, and a gondola lift for luggage, Stellahouse sleeps four across two bedrooms (a king bed and a bunk room) and is available to book on Airbnb.
As you enter the cathedral ceiling living room through the screen porch, the kitchen with full size stainless steel appliances is directly ahead. To the right you'll find a bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom I only wish I had in my house!
Decks wrap around three sides of Stellahouse, one of which holds a full-size hot tub.
Stained glass windows adorn the winding staircase to the master bedroom. A king size bed, birch railing balcony overlooking the living room and two upholstered swivel chairs peer through a huge casement window to the forest floor 30' below.

Western Maine has an abundance of outdoor activities for all seasons. Alpine and cross-country skiing are nearby at Sunday River, Black Mountain, and Mt. Abram. We have many lakes and rivers for water sports, boating, fishing kayaking, and relaxing. Hiking is everywhere and within an hour or so are the White Mountain National Forest, Presidential Range, Appalachian Trail, Grafton Notch State Park, and Rangeley Lakes. The quaint towns of Bethel and Rumford are close by for shopping and dining. (Bethel is a local foodie paradise!)
